Raised on a Wisconsin farm, Sue enjoys gardening, raising chickens and going fishing with her family.

 An avid rock climber, Shelby Gonzalez has published nearly 150 articles while chasing challenge and adventure on four continents. She contributed to Chicken Soup for the Soul: Runners  (2010). While she is best known for covering adventure travel and outdoor adrenaline sports, her nonfiction portfolio includes long-form science writing and newspaper-style reporting on environmental topics. She is working on her first book.

Graphic designer Breanna Super designs “eye-catching,” effective ads and printed material for Northern Wilds customers.  With a design technology degree from Bemidji State, she is passionate and experienced in both print and web design.  She enjoys running, skiing, and supporting Cook County sports, especially her husband’s basketball team.
